The short answer is Decentlux lamps get hot BECAUSE THEY CAN LOAD HOT FROM LED. Decentlux's unique to adopt Original CREE LED with GaN on GaN LED design produces a perfect crystal structure with very few defects. Compared to normal LEDs made with GaN on non-native substrates, this small size CREE LED structure allows MR16 can with more power and more brightness to replace 50w halogen.
The fact that Decentlux lamps are hot to the touch after being powered up is a good thing - it means that their unique heat sink design is very efficient at removing heat from the core of the lamp, the LED lightchip, where it is generated. Decentlux with orginal CREE LEDs are designed to run safely at temperatures up to 150°C, twice the temperatures of other LEDs, and comparable halogen lamps run hotter, up to 230°C.
So, please no worry if you find the Decentlux lamps is hot when light up after 5minutes , it is no problem .
